If anyone would like tickets they should contact the phone numbers listed on this poster. The club can always make arrangements to hold the ticket and the guest can pay at the door.

This is a benefit held by the Heartland Lions Club and all funds raised goes back into the communities they serve. These are the towns of Royalton, Sharon and Tunbridge. These towns were affected by Irene this past summer and there are still needs in our communities where we could help.

Chili Fest!

The NorShaft Lions will be hosting their Third Annual Chili Tasting Event on January 28th. There will be over 20 varieties available including Pumpkin, Vegetarian, White Chili, Chicken, Sausage, Chicken and Sweet Potato, Elk, and Venison in addition to a variety of traditional hot, medium, and mild beef chilies. The Chili Tasting takes place at the Vermont Art Exchange on Sage Street in North Bennington on Saturday, January 28 from 11:30 – 2:30. There will be live music and a cash bar.

Funds raised from this event will go towards the NorShaft Lions Community Improvement Fund. Last year this fund allowed the NorShaft Lions to support the NorShaft Lions Park in North Bennington, purchase and install a seasonal ice skating rink for Shaftsbury, purchase fire hydrant markers, and install gates for Historic Park McCullough.

Come out and have a good time. Enjoy great chili. Help support the NorShaft Lions Community Improvement Fund.

Lions:

The Whitingham-Halifax Lions got press in the Deerfield Valley News on their Holiday Baskets event.

Club Secretary Mark Hanna writes: “We served an amazing number of folks (400+ in 9 towns!!) this year – with very meaningful food staples that hopefully will help to carry the recipients for several weeks. … and took care of flood victims throughout the valley as well – with food and money … Rotary, who partnered with us for the first year, really extended the reach of the program – and they are very excited to do it again next December.

After several years, we've updated the look of The District 45 website. We're hoping to make it easier to find what you need, but we also wanted to do a better job of promoting Lions Club events and causes. This new design should help us do that. It also should prove to be a bit easier to maintain and easier for older eyes to take.

Pittsford Lions Club Breakfast

The Pittsford Lions Club will be holding their Semi-Annual Country Breakfast on November 5, 2011 from 7 AM – 11 AM at the Pittsford Congo Church on the village green in Pittsford, Vt.

Menu will consist of: Scrambled eggs, sausage, ham, pancakes, toast, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, milk White & Chocolate, juice.

Take out will be available for those who want take out.

Cost is just $6.00 for adults and $3.00 for children under 8 years of age.

Turkey Dinner in Bennington

The Bennington Lions Club will be serving a Turkey Dinner on October 22nd at the First Baptist Church, 601 Main Street, Bennington.

Serving starts at 5:30 pm. to 7:30. Adults $10.00 and children ages 6 to 12 $8.00, children under 5 free.

The money raised will help to fund local residents’ purchase of eyeglasses. There will be raffles with seasonal prizes.

Come and enjoy a delicious homemade meal!
